cartons, packing materials and damaged merchandise for inspection by the
shipper. Otherwise, the shipper may not honor your claim. Notify us that you

SHIPPING
INFORMATION
Packaging of Mat board & Foam core
Our mat board and foam core are packed with
extreme care and for maximum protection. There are four steps we take to help protect the
mat board from becoming damaged in shipment:
1. Boards are put in plastic bags to keep
them dry and dirt-free.
2. Boards are put into cardboard boxes.
3. In most cases filler paper is put on the
top, bottom and around all sides of the boards to prevent movement during shipment.
4. 3/16" thick edge board is attached
around the exterior sides of the box to help keep the corners and edges from getting
dented.
If "damaged in transit" should
occur, file a claim with the carrier. Notify us (1-800-334-9060) that you have filed a
claim with the shipper and initiate arrangements for replacements.

| Domestic (Oversize 1 and 2)
FedEx
classifies long
or large, but light weight packages, as "OVERSIZED"
and charge more for them by both ground and air delivery. The
following two charts will explain why some items are billed for shipping
at a weight that is greater than the actual weight of the package.
|
|

|
| Oversize
1 and 2 refer to packages traveling by Ground delivery: |
| Oversize
1
A package is considered "Oversize
1" (OS1) when all of the following conditions apply:
The package's combined length and girth
exceeds 84 inches.
The package's combined length and girth is
equal to or less than 108 inches.
The package's actual weight is less than
30 pounds.
For each OS1 package, the billable weight
is 30 pounds. |
|
| The
following directions refer to packages Shipped by Air: |
| Domestic
Shipments (Dimensional Weight) |
| FedEx
Next Day Air |
| FedEx
2nd Day Air |
| 1.
Determine actual weight. - Weigh the box |
| 2.
Determine dimensional weight.
Multiply the package length by the width
by the height. For each measurement, round off any fraction the nearest
whole inch. The result is the cubic size. If this number is 1,728 inches
or less, use the actual weight in your rate calculation. If this number is
more than 1,728 inches, divide the cubic size by 194 to determine
dimensional weight in pounds. Increase any fraction to the next pound. |
| 3.
Determine billable weight.
Compare each package's actual weight
to its dimensional weight. The larger of the two weights is the billable
weight and should be used to calculate the rate. |
